I would like to find a standard steering wheel for my '72 Skylark (like the wheel shown in the picture below). I need one that is a darker brown than the one shown, but will consider any color if the steering wheel is in repairable condition as I can repair it and paint it to the color I desire.
Buquick Hi Gary,Iwent to check it and its not quite as good as you brown but almost as good.Only its Black. If you want it ,its $50.00 plus $20.00 for shipping.BrunoD.
Buquick Gary,I checked it and its black its complete and its in almost as good a condition as the one in the picture that you are showing. If you are interested $50.00 plus $20.00 for shipping will close the deal.Regards,BrunoD.
Thanks Gary, yes it has begun.... I'm excited about the "new" car & my wife really likes it too (she will REALLY like it after she goes for a ride)! Bruno, Thanks for the quick response, I'm interested in the wheel, send your address and payment preference to my home email address buquick@comcast.net and I will get payment out to you.
Congradulations Gary, Congradulations on your " new " car. I absolutely love that car ! ! ! it was one of three of my final choices before I bought my 65 convertible. got to sit in it a couple times !!! your going to blow there sox off at the shows & track ! :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU: Gary/Moz
Gary & Gary, I spoke with a former owner today and he said the hood was repainted by a later owner which explains why it doesn't look as good as the rest of the car. He also said they ran the car at the track, 10.30s in the 1/4. I drove it for the first time yesterday, man that thing really roars when you mash the loud pedal. I was afraid the cops would come by after I made a trip around the neighborhood. I'm sure my neighbors love me now. I will probably take the 1 chamber flowmaster's off soon so they won't hate me.
Yes I'm interested in your steering wheel too. Send the pics to buquick@comcast.net Sorry we didn't get an opportunity to meet last weekend.
Gary I'm surprised the temptetion didn't get you sooner. Probably ran mid 10's with the race motor, low 11's or high 10's will probably be realistic with the current motor, especially since I went 11.4@120mph with no bite and 90 deg temp Did the wife try to "shoe" it yet?Does it seem quicker than the 67? gary
pics sent sounds like Bruno's wheel is in better condition. would have been nice to meet you, i saw some of the resto's you've done and they look great.
Buquick Gary I PM you,did you get it?If not and if you still want my wheel this is my address:Bruno Di Paola,279 Division Ave,Hisckville NY.11801.Regards,BrunoD.
I just checked again, I didn't get a PM from you. Not sure why it didn't come to me, but anyway I still would like to purchase your wheel. I will do my best to send out payment tomorrow. P.S. I live near a guy that is referred to as "Fast Edie" but at 9.16 you have him covered by a full second!
