This Summer I am planning on repairing the floor pans and trunk area. the metal floor in the interior and trunk look pretty good but have some surface rust.

My plan: for interior and trunk
    1) to sand off as much rust as i can
    2) primer then painting the metal with some sort of rust preventive paint (POR15 looks to be the best product, but because i am on a low budget, any and all suggestions will definately help)
    3) Dynamat (or i was thinkin about using Duct insulation, its way cheaper) the floor
    4) foam padding
    5) carpet

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on what paint and primer i should use? Any helpfull info will be great! Ill post picks of the whole process once i get started on it.

**Also, I re-upholstered my door panels myself. I'll post some picks of the panel before and after. I think i did a great job due to my lack of skill (haha) but at least it looks fairly brand new. I didnt want to spend $$$ to have a shop do it when i can get it done myself. also I'm planning on putting some of my project building on my YOUTUBE site. If anyone wants to see my progress lemme know and I'll put together some videos.

Try the Eastwood rust encapsulator as it is easier to paint over than POR. IF POR is used on good metal it tends to peel off.
