Looking for eBrake cable kit for 70 GSX. I will need all the connectors/hangers for a complete kit since they are none on the car currently.

Also interested in replacing the booster with a correctly color plated unit along with correct master cylinder.

Can someone direct me to the proper vendor and provide correct part numbers? I'm trying to replace things with the "correct" items as I go through the car.

    Thanks,

    Rob

www.inlinetube.com remade the e brake stuff. (I cannot stand the company but it is the only show)

For the cheapest source for the Power Booster look at www.Buickperformance.com near the top under new products. Get the one with Delco on it.

Mark Reeves on this Board had the Master cylinder remade and sells them. 678 494 7827

    Thanks!

    Jim,

As always you seem to come to the rescue with the right answers!

On the ebrake kits from inline they list the kit for the th350/manual trans. as the same part number kit, and a seperate th400 kit. Is the th350 kit correct for a 4-speed car?

Thanks again......now and in the future!

Yes at least part Rob because there is support in the 70 assembly manual that a 4 speed set up has a cross member with a slot in it like the TH400 but the cable does not get routed throught the slot like the TH 400. It goes over the cross member and not through the hole. Thus the 350 stuff.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I'll order the TH350/Manual trans. kit. I emailed Brandon to order his laminated assembly manual so I will soon have a reference so I can refer to the corect installation on these types of things while working on the car.

I need to be careful or I'll end up going crazy with replacing and redoing a bunch of little things all over the car. It's a nice "driver" as is and I want to enjoy it. The problem I have is that I need to know that things are done "right."

Oh well, that's part of the fun having these cars!

    Thanks...........again,

    Rob

I know how you feel. You feel compelled to tweak the car until it meets the theoretical correct standard but the closer you get the more of a cloud it puts over freely driving the car.

Just one note on the repro brake boosters. How picky are you? I can pick the repros right out on a car. The trangular cuts in the booster have a much sharper edge than original. Very noticable to me. If you are picky like me you could have your original date coded unit rebuilt and replated. There are at least two guys both on the west coast that do this.
