    Hello Guy`s,

As you may have heard this years Martin race is a two day event. :beer Were guessing there`s gonna be quite a bit of idle time on the track. Terry came up with an idea to help full the inevitable void of cars running down the track and we were wondering how you guy`s feel about it.

Later in the day Friday we hold a $25 per person gamblers race. This will give everybody a chance to get their hands dirty and play. I`m no bracket racer but it sounds like alot of fun to me. Is this something you guy`s may be instrested in?

    Dave:

I assume you're making up the schedule of events. Will we have the track only during the day and have to vacate for local program like Stanton?

Not interested in bracket race personally.

This may sound TOTALLY off the wall ..... but .....

We've teased back and forth for YEARS about having a tow-vehicle shootout.

Everyone's got Cummins, Powerstroke, Duramax and gasser tow vessels. Lets line 'em up !! We're already racing our regular cars in the standard program. If we're gonna bracket race --- let's do the tow-vehicles. And I have a front row seat when Spetzman takes that humongo motorhome down the 1320 ....... :3gears:

Disclaimer: I'm not racing Rusty's truck ..... I'm certain it would kick my ass.

My car heats up, slows way down and needs a while to cool off.

Down time for me is not a bad thing.

If a gamblers race happens I might participate.......might not. :Do No:

I'm with Andy here -- would a nearly Pure Stock musclecar with, say, headers and sticky tires be allowed to enter? It would give all you legit guys a chance to embarass such an "outlaw" -- although I fully intend to win any bracket format. :Brow:

    When

When is Martin? Have not raced there since High School. I have drove by it and seen it is all new. Would like to participate if able. Thanks.

Note to self: have the back tank empty before showing up at the track! :TU:
I am sure that some of those chipped out diesels would blow some black smoke in my face!

    Blackgold,

Quit messing around and put some manifolds on! :spank:

I'll run a bracket gamblers' race with the tow vehicle. Not with the Ramrod, though. In fact, let's run it in the dirt/mud!!!!!! :Brow: :Brow: :Brow:

Don't know how many other people run drum brakes, but I do and it's hairy getting stopped on the second back to back run, three would be dangerous. I recall the Superbee going off the end at Kilkare when he tried 3 runs in a row.

How do you run a bracket race with pro tree?

    "Drag" race

I've seen most of you fella's standing around in the pits; your silhouettes are pretty evenly matched. So, I say make it a foot race. Everyone line up on the staging line... and bring down the lights. Anyone still alive at the other end of the 1320 wins all the money! :moonu:

    Hey rdl,

If we run tow vehicles, I bet yours would be the fastest!

If it going to be a foot race, I will be in training tomorrow! I was fast on my feet at one time, but.... :pp
I don't know if we want the track sprayed just before that event, we might end up on our faces!

See, now that's funny  :TU: Then I got to thinking, ... and the chance of me losing to a tow vehicle was less funny.

    That would be entertainment!

    Donny,

If you are running the Avalanche still, you might have a good shot at whipping on some big duallies!

I've got it! Break the ladders out with Gas vs. Gas and Oil burners vs. Oil burners. Limit it to first 8 of each! On second thought, when do the diesel drags occur at Martin? :spank: :3gears:

I would guess they start whenever Casey shows up in his diesel.......
