Anyone have recommendations on how to get comprehensive insurance as a daily driver? I have seen threads about insurance here on v8b, but none of them seemed to discuss daily drivers. Here in Washington State, my current insurer USAA, will only insure a 20+ year old car as a collector's car to be driven less than 1,000 miles per year or for liability only. Other agencies I have checked with will only insure my Buick if I get my wife to put her car under their policy as well and she's perfectly happy with USAA. Any help to get my car (safely) on the road would be appreciated.
I've had allstate, and currently have Safeco. Both have insured my GS like a normal everyday car.... No milage restrictions, and I have a Zero dollar deductible comprehensive coverage (act of god, theft, vandalizm..etc) on my GS. Now, I don't have any kind of Collision coverage, but if you've seen the pics of my car you'd see that I don't have anything to worry about if I have an accident:eek2:
Thanks, as you posted I was on the phone with Safeco. It seems that they'll cover me for the amount I want to insure my Skylark GS. To insure it for a fixed value they need to have the car appraised, so that's my next step.
Progressive, but they aren't really that cheap on the old car. Never had to file a claim, but my friends have had awesome service from the locals.
