    Guys, I don't like being a dummy, but I can't figure out a couple of cryptics that are used on many boards.

    ttt and bump.

    What does that mean?

    TIA,
    Race Lutz

    TTT = To The Top

    You're just adding a post to bring the message back to the top of list.

    I haven't seen 'bump' myself, but I'm guessing its for the same thing.

    To the top = TTT = bump

    They are used to bring an old post to the to of the top of the list when you view the most recent posts. Its purpose is to keep the topics together and preclude someone from starting parallel posts on the same topic.
