Hey guys, I bought a 70 buick skylark approximatly 2 months ago, everything is completly stock under the hood. i plan on tearing into it when the snow hits the ground. This is my first project car ( i have helped others before), so i will be looking on this board for alot of help. What i need help with is what to do. I want to hop up the motor as much as possible. I want to make it all motor, no nitrous etc.... anyone have any suggestions or combinations that they have tried or have installed currently. i am not looking to make this an all out drag car obviously, it is a 350. i would like to run in the 13's somewhere. thanx for all the help. here are some suggestions others have given me.

    1. make it a 383 stroker
    2. Screw the 350 and drop in a 455.

p.s. anyone know what stock gears are for this car.

Nate - The stroke on the Buick 350 is maxed from the factory already!!:Smarty: There is literally NO room between the rod bolts and cam to expand any further!!

The Buick 350 is basically a 'square' engine - 3.800" bore and 3.850" stroke.

Going the 350" route can get you into the 13's - you'll need to address the 'whole package' though [ engine, tranny, gears, traction, etc.].

The 455" would get you there much easier.:Brow:
