I could use a 66 Riviera service manual-I wanted to know if Chilton's are as good or better than the original GM manual? Anyone use the Chiltons that are on cd-rom? What so you think of those? I heard the Haynes manuals aren't great-true? Not true?
Do I need a Fisher body repair manual to get the skinny on the power windows, power seat, and the remote driver's mirror?
My windows need some attention in terms of the connections at the switch, the seat doesn't currently work, and the mirror is hanging loose. I should be able to figure out the mirror.

I also need correct info on the q-jets-I have one that seems to look different than those I have seen in some books.
What is the best book/manual on these? I know of one available from Amazon, put out by HP. Is it possible to find the original manuals for them?

My q-jet seems to have additional screws on the front-some of which have a rubber "sleeve" on the screw.
Where I understand the model # to be, it says 7045184
It also has in the same area, K6 and 3174
Are there any sites on the web that have good overhaul/servicing and/or model number info on the Quadrajets? I have only been able to find commercial sites that want me to send mine out to them for lotsa money. I might actually do this if I had the money, but I kinda want to do it myself and earn the "cred" and experience anyway.

Anybody have either of these available-please let me know. Will pay for manuals, etc.

    Thank you

    Christopher

The factory service manual is way better than a Chilton's or a Hayne's. It will include a whole chapter on the carburetor, too. Doug Roe's Rochester Carburetors is a very useful book, too.
