I need the new car invoices for the 1971, 1972, and 1973 Buick Riviera. A copy of one or a scan will do fine. I'll pay for the copying/scanning if need be. I'm trying to get more info for the registry so I can get the site rolling. :beers2:
The Sloan Musuem will sell you a high end copy of each for $15.00 a piece. I do not know much about the Riv's. What years will your registry cover 71, 72 and 1973 only? You might also find them on E-Bay on occation. Sloan also have production information from 1972 and 1973 where they can do research on vin numbers if you need documentation on your car. Sorry, no 1971 information. Sloan has other information about the Riv's too. I do not know all the specifics but I did see Riv information at the Sloan when I was there this summer. If you are close enough and can make the trip yourself. You can gather a lot of really good knowledge. Sloan is there to help Buick enthusiast gain knowledge through their archives. If you would like to know more please contact me through emial or PM. Mark
Thanks Mark. :TU: I'm still hoping someone out there has one that they can copy or scan into the computer for me? o No: If I can't find them here I suppose I can shell out $50 for sloan. $15 seems like the going price for these. Yes, just the boattail years. (the bestp ) I tried Ebay already too. I've been slowly collected Buick literature for '71-73 for a solid year and a half now. I have alot of the oddball stuff that I haven't seen come up for sale since, ads and invoices would come later. (which is now) How far is the Sloan museum from you? What services do they offer in person?
The Sloan is in Flint MI (13 hour trip for me). I spent a week there working through the archives they have. The nice thing about going there is you only have to pay for copies if you are there so the $15.00 Wholesale Order Forms will cost you 20 cents if you are there. Bad thing is you need to be there. You can also look through the microfilm while you are there but it is not printable if you are looking at the film. They definetly have some really cool documents and were very helpful when I was there. Mark
Rob, are you looking for the window sticker for a Riviera? I've got the one for my 72 from the dealership. It's not pristine, but readable. I could make a copy if you like. I was lucky enough to get that and the original 1972 Buick warranty brochure when I bought the car.
No, im not looking for the window stickers. The new car invoices have every option available from the factory to check off. I will however be glad to add a copy of your window sticker to my collection, i'm sure I can use it for prices too. Thanks :TU:
