Thanks, got it.. Emailed the seller & buyer. This board is acting screwy for me too.

Did you get the link to the blue skylark? I'd love to get that one. Probably wants way too much for it though.

The guy probably bought it and then listed it on ebay the next day and made a quick profit!

You should have bought Dana's car, that was a smoking deal for $7k!

Have you considered this 68 Skylark Convertible?

I would if my budget was that high. I have it trimmed down some (actually alot) down to $4,000

Gettin' married in August, so my funds are limited until I hit the lottery.

    that trunk...

That trunk looks scary... If the floor pans are in the same shape I'd be afraid to invest in it.

Back in the late 80's a friend of mine had one of the Ford Courier small pickups. Those things rusted like a Vega in a saltwater bath. After several attempts to fix holes in the bed he finally just bought a 5 gallon (I've never seen one before or since) bucket of bondo and hardener. Put on some old clothes and with his dads trusty concrete trawl went to work. A couple of hours and several cans of spray krylon later the bed of the truck was smooth as a silk. Talk about looking at something then looking again trying to figure out what was wrong... "where are the ridges that are supposed to be in the bottom of the bed?" Some people just looked and never could figure out what was wrong with the picture in front of them.

I bet when that thing went to the crusher the big magnet wouldn't even budge it!

    regards

    72 GS For Sale

I would pass, there are a lot better ones out there then that one. This car would need way to much work and would never be right because of all the repairs that have been done incorrectly (this good for you because you can the problems). I and many us Buick guys are going to the GM car show in Carlise PA. and we will keep an eye out for you. Great things come to thoughs who wait, that is how I got my 4-speed GS. Good Luck (When you own a Buick your not alone :TU: ) AL

I live like 45 mins from Carlisle. I'll probably be going to it. The guy in TX has dropped the price to $2500 on the white one. Still that seems alot, esp. since his ebay auction is only going to bring $1,100 at most.

There is one more, which maybe you guys can help me with.

He said he won't go lower than $4500 on it. Thing is, it's in southern florida, so shipping would be expensive.

The guy with the GS for 3300 is going to let me know in 2 days, what's going on. I'm next in line for that car.

What do you expect for 3k? I think its a fair deal. You think your going to find a no rust car for 4k?GOOD LUCK there all rotted out ...thats why there 3k not 10k the cost of a restoration.Buy it to enjoy and dont dump any crazy $ into it and you will be fine. The way things are going latly I bet you drive it for 2 years and come out 2k ahead of the deal..good luck.

Ok, so would the car be worth it if it was a true GS?? I am curious as to what everyone here thinks about that.
