I need the insulation that goes around the air conditioner muffler on a 71 455. I think Buick and Olds are the same. Anyone know where I could locate one without having to replace the muffler with a new one.? Thanks

I will have to dig in my address book when I get home, but I went through a company in Dallas that built new hoses and everything using my original fittings. Like I said, I will get the info for you.

Yes it is. I sent my old hoses and dryer down. They cut new hoses and heliarced to the old ends. They also cut the top off of the dryer and welded it back up good as new. It also helped that one of my co-workers has been doing a/c work since the 60's. We converted over to 134-a since the system was totally dry, but we used the r-12 fittings. Used the sight glass and the spray bottle on the condenser to get what we needed in there. The system ran great on the way up to Stanton this year.
