NEVER want to do another set of vent window seals

:rant: OMG, did this turn out to be a sucky project today! These were a bear to get installed correctly. Reaching in and out of sharp access holes in the door, wiggling, pulling, and cursing trying to get the damn assemblies pulled up out of the door, and tons of frustration. Maybe I made it worse out of sheer frustration, but I got the damn things done. I'm now drinking profusely and nursing my bloody hands...

 

Well, it's done. I rerrecently had to remove my side glass and vent window assemblies in order to reglue my windows. That was a learning curve! I can only imagine replacing the rubber in those vent assemblys. Youre a brave man!

 

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Just keep repeating that as you drink the pain away. :beer

 

I'm usually pretty damn good with anything mechanical, and to be honest I expected to blow through this job in an hour or so. This took me every bit of 5 fricken hours to do. I've done major motor work in less time than this. Just goes to show you that even a job you think is easy can rear up and kick you in the ass. Cheers guys...

I read that prior to starting. Looks a hell of a lot easier in the pics

 

I replaced the Drivers side on my Skylark. MAN. You are Right. I didn't do the Passenger side. It looked fine. As far as I was concerned. :grin:

I'll bet! That's why I didn't replace mine when my car was apart for painting. Thankfully they're in real nice shape.
