Hi, I am Dowe 67, and I finally bought my dream car. I know own a 1967 Buick Riviera. As a kid I always loved the 71-73 Riviera and my mother loved the 1980's Riviera. As an adult I have a huge appreciation for the design of the Riviera. I am in the process of learning as much as I can about my car and the history of the Riviera. I would loved to get any info that anyone would like to share.
Good link. You fell into the best of the Rivs in my opinion. The 66-67 Rivs belong in the dream cars category as much as they have accidentally found themselves on the street. Fantastic. Enjoy rolling that speedo around. I doubt you'll get it past the 140 top end when it starts rolling around again. LOL I haven't got faster than about 125. Not to say you shouldn't try.
Welcome aboard Dowe67! Riv owners are unique in that they are either passionate or sado-masachists. What with lack of parts and such. But there aren't better looking or more dynamic cars on the road. Chevelles? Not hardly. Compare a 67 Chevelle to a 67 Riv and the difference is glaringly obvious which is the better machine. Visit my website. A lot of it pertains to your year Riv and much of it is similar to the 69. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jholthenrichs Any questions, please email or PM me. And the ROA should be your first check mailed out. The BPG is the second. 2 great clubs crazy about Buicks ant the style and power they have. Welcome!
