Look Santa Buick brought today. New sealed Power race bearings for are 455's. Competition designed rod and main
Bearings with 3/4 grooved main bearings. It's about time we got to have the good stuff like the other GM brands. They come in STD .001 and .010 under sizes. We Got them in today at Finishline Motor sports. I just thought that I would post them for you all to see.

    Bob,

Was the groove itself made any larger to carry more oil volume? Otherwise they look great!!!

    Thanks

I will have to measure a set of old style and compare them. To be honest I have no idea they apear to be the same but without putting them on the granite table and measuring I can't be for sure. I tell you it will be nice to have a good main bearing we've been running chevy rod bearings for years but always had to use stock mains. Never realy had a major issue with them but these will give me a sence of security.

    head Gaskets

    Bruce

They are supposed to be out we haven't ordered any do to the fact that sce is about to release there new composite gasket and it will be less expensive than fel-pro. The fel-pro is going to cost like over 90 bucks or somthing like that. the SCE are going to have a stainless fire ring and are supposed to handle 15 to 1 they claim. I plan on putting them on the GSE car that is 14 to 1 and give them a try. We should have them by the end of the month I believe we will be able to sell them for like 75 a set. I hope that helps if you need gaskets right away I would get orange crush's they cost less than the Fel-pro's and we know those work well. If you need anything let me know we are a TA dealer and we stock Orange crush's.

    Thanks Bobb
I'ce got the Orange Crush's on the Stage 2 and I'm breaking the motor in. I can't get to the head bolts by the headers, so should I just re-torque the ones I can get or leave em alone?

The gaskets I need are for another motor....
Will the SCE or FelPros be drilled for the extra bolts?

    Thanks
    Bruce

I always try and retorque the ones I can get to. I believe the sce will be drilled for the extra bolt hole but I can not swear to it I will check and let you know. If that is a problem any time you order from us we made a fixture to add those holes to the gasket. Just tell us we would add them no problem.
