hi my name is gary,i am 21 and i have a 1966 buick wildcat gs.i got it about a year ago.it was my fathers car but he was incarcerated and i had nothing else to drive.it has the 425 in it but no dual quad.the car needs a little tlc on the body.the engine runs good except for the new holley 770 street avenger im having trouble with the choke.and im eventually getting a new distributor.i want it to be a fast street machine but i dont know to much about cars which is why im here.i learn new things everyday thanks to sites like this.oh yea im also working on a little bit of a car video which contains so far burnouts from my car(huge clouds of smoke),some guy on a street bike,my friends 80's camaro,and some racing.im hoping to get the video done some time around winter or spring.but i might be posting up links to watch some of it in a few months hopefully. Maybe you already know, but the 66GS Wildcat was the only year for a Wildcat GS. They're pretty rare and potentially valuable. Have maximum fun but keep it in good shape as numbers matching as you can to hold it's value. Welcome to the board. There are people here who can tell you just about anything you need to know, and also help you locate hard to find parts.
You will not find a website with more knowledge of Buicks and nicer people on the web....I have found it very addictive and has been outstanding as far as the knowledge that people are willing to share.....
thanks for the welcome everyone.im getting rid of the interior and putting in racing seats i want the car to be as light as possible.also im getting rid of most of the original parts.some people may think its a dumb idea but i love going fast.im really all about the performance of the engine and the handling.im only going to restore the outside of the car and the inside will have two seats and a cd player.so the car isnt going to be show car. hi don,the seats are calling your name lol.i wanted to ask you if you want power windows in your wildcat because im getting rid of mine.let me know if your interested.

He is right Gary, Mike is right as much as I would hate to lose the deal I would really understand! The car is worth alot of money all intact!. Even if you just kept the stuff in storage and if you ever wanted to sell it you could put it back to orginal, It is up too you and I really mean it when I say I will understand.
