Just wanted to say Hi to you all. I just bought a 71 skylark custom from a fella who had it sitting in storage for the last 8 years on base. It has a GS hood on it though, so may try and just build something that looks good, and not worry about correct restoration. 350 that runs like a champ. All I had to do was gas it and change the battery....fired right up. The guy I bought it from said milage hadn't turned over to his knowledge which would mean 79k original miles. I am not sure if its accurate, but it runs like a 79k car at least . Anyhow, Hi, and I will see you around here. Jeff
Welcome... Hey Jeff. Welcome to the board. You have found the most knowledgeable group of Buick enthusiasts around. You're gonna love it here. Any and all questions you have will be answered here. P.S. Which base?
I am at Seymour Johnson AFB in NC. I am a firefighter here. Thanks for the welcomes guys, hope to pick many brains as I go along
We just right up the road from you at JNX. Fly by you there all the time and occasionally shoot a few PAR approaches with your controllers. A dear friend (F15E jockey ) is transferring back from Alaska so I will be around there more. I remember when we showed him his first propeller before he was even licensed and look at him now. When are you guys having your annual car show?
I believe the car show is gonna be in May, will verify when I hit work tomorrow. I love them 15 jockeys, they keep me in business lol Here is an attempt at a pic as the car stands now.
