Today, Stacy "dentboy" and I swapped in an NOS core support into his 72 GS 4 gear car. For such a pretty car, the original support was a rotted, ugly POS. It was really bad. Boy, what a PITA it was doing it with the front end sheetmetal in place. And to make matters worse, he has a show car paint job on it. My hands started to shake a few times. We had to loosen up the fenders and readjust EVERTHING. Since the core support was powdercoated, I had to shave off a sliver of plastic off the headlight adjusters so they would clip into place. Took us 7 hours start to finish. It was a long day.

Plus there was alot of incorrect and mising hardware. Since we did it at my house, I went into my parts dept and scored him all the right screws and fasteners for him. Even gave him my last set of stainless bumper bracket bolts. Came out really nice and the best part was we didn't put one scratch on the car! After we were finished, it looked like my toolbox threw up. All I know is Im going to be sore tomorrow!

Next time Stacy, Im taking the fenders off!:Dou: Im sure Stacy will post pictures
