Hey everyone i have a 68 skylark 350-4 with a 3 speed manual. im not sure what i have for rear gears in it its stock but what should i go with if i want more performance and should i go posi? im not good with the rear end stuff only motor work. any feedback would be great, Products, ratios, money? thanks

im thinking about mabe doing some light modifications to the motor but nothing crazy and it will be a night cruiser and sometimes heading up to the strip
I would go 3.08:1. Don't know which tranny you have in there but it's pretty safe to assume your top gear is a 1:1... so with a 3.08 rear you'd turn roughly 2300 rpm at 60 mph, or so. Depends also on tire size, of course. As for posi vs. open rear, it really depends on what you plan to use it for. Lots of racing... posi might be the best.
