first i want to say what a great site you guys have here. i grew up around buicks. that's all my dad ever bought. a short list: '64 sport wagon, 67 lesabre, '71 sport wagon. those cars are why my first car was a '77 Skylark S/R 2dr hatchback. i loved that car! then i got married and the new wife decided we needed a new vehicle, and asked me to sell it. well, some 22 yrs later for my birthday 10/26/04, she suprised me with a '78 Skylark 2dr. this car is in pretty good shape. just needs a little TLC. 3.8 v6/auto A/R alum rims. now i want to do something different with it. definitely a manual trans(4 or 5 spd). i am looking for ideas on the rest of the powertrain. hop-up the lil' 6 that could, a buick 350? how hard are the 350's to come by? i just need help making up my mind. sorry for the ramble
