Hey guys, just thought I'd introduce myself to the board. I have just started working on a 1953 45r that I've had for a while now. To this point, I've been a chevy man and I don't know much about buicks, but I'm learning fast. My project will include a chassis swap from a 73 Riviera with the 455 and all the creature comforts. Let me know what you think!

Less see , 53 Buick body with Riv chassis and steering and comfort , then the power of a 455 . I say do it !! If you look at the Blackhawk it has a Buick Riviera Interior from a 96 and it is so sweet . Making the old new again I say go for it . Also look at some pics of Larry Bells 39 man it is nice and runs low 12s !

Well, I drug the old 73 boattail out of the salvage yard yesterday. It has been there for 10 years. To my suprise, it had all the receipts in the glove box along with the original owner's manuel. Turns out, a month before the car was salvaged (lightly hit down the driver's side), the motor and the entire front end had been rebuilt. I cleaned the plugs a little, touched up the points, blew out the carb, added some fuel and a battery, and the SOB fired right up and dropped into gear. It even blew cold air! Amazing! I just don't get that lucky. I was so excited, I thought I'd share. :Brow:
