    Hanks20 BUICK NEWBIE

Hello All. I have recently acquired a 79 Buick Lesabre from our impound lot. Unlike most late 70's early 80's vehicles from around the cleveland ohio area, this one didn't rust out :TU: I have a feeling that the gentleman that got this vehicle impounded must have bought it from someone who really cared about it.

Problem 1 : the 301 in her sounds like its trying to crawl out.
Solution 1: A "friend" of mine has a regal that had a 455 implanted in it, said regal has recently met its match against a guard rail... the regal didn't win.

Question 1: How difficult would it be to swap in the 455... I understand from other projects I've done...you can make anything fit into anything... I was just wondering how difficult this would be.

Problem 2: The plastic pieces between the quarter panels and the bumper are missing from both sides... no damage to either items just the missing plastic. Question 2: Is this just a boneyard item that I need to go diggin for, or can I find these new somewhere.

Please feel free to reply here, but with a busy schedule please if you have info email my personal account... hanks20@aol.com

Have a great weekend and thanks!

455 LeSabre eh? Cool idea. Well.....I know they fit, but thats all I know. Theres a guy that races a 455 77-79 LeSabre at Quaker city raceway in Ohio. Its been a fixture there for a long time. Blue car. Its sweet. Wish I had more for you, but if your ever there, you'll see it.
