I have a 1969 buick skylark which came from CA. Made the GS clone eighteen years ago from a real 69 GS that was rotted that my friend drove me to high school in. Since then it now has a mild 455 ,turbo 350 and 9" rearend w/ 411 gears. Hooker headers thru 3" exhaust all the way out. Also has a fiberglass GS hood from many years ago. Car was painted red in 1990 and still looks very good for it's age which I bring to local car shows. Had the whole nose of this past winter for disc brake conversion, griffin cooling /electric fan upgrade and complete suspension overhaul from PST. Have been getting the car ready for a more serious engine build which has to have a nasty idle sound and be street driven. I have been waiting for this engine a long time and it's my 40 birthday next Oct. hum.... Looks like a great board. If I can help out anybody in the area let me know.

GDbuick- where in Bellingham are you? I am next door in Cumberland and grew up at lake Hiawatha (off of 126). I also extend to you if you need any help, etc. let me know. I always have some spare 68-69 parts kicking around and am always looking for 68-69 parts.
I plan on having my 69 GS 400 back from the shop this month and hope to be driving it by the spring.
    Welcome!!

I'm over by 495/Rt 126 right near Home Depot. Not sure how far that is from you but can't be very far. I could probably swing by in my 69 to help motivate you through the winter if you need it....What kind of restoration are you doing stock, mod or race ?

    Parts well like every one,
Better 69 GS grill that I own presently and I have never found the metal chrome strip on the outer 69 GS trunk edge. I'm using one where I trimmed the buick insignia off to clear the GS trunk lock emblem.

    Greg,

Cumberland is south of you, borders Woonsocket. Roughly 25 mins (backroads) away.
The GS (Canadian built) is getting new quarters and some light bodywork done to it. It'll be sprayed 2003 Corvette 50th anniversary maroon from Spies. Original color was Verdero Green.
    The 400 is a fresh (stock) rebuild from a 68 GS 400 (A/C) car with a TH400 backed up by a posi (which I believe is 2:93's - anyone have a set of 3.64's for a 68 made-in-america rear end????)..
Interior is black bucket, sport- tilt wheel on the column (nice, clean look- no console). I have the grille, all the chrome/ stainless (excellent shape), etc.
I have an Edelbrock intake, hooker headers, a couple of HEI's, etc. to put on it.
Basically, a nice, relatively stock GS. Should be painted and back in MY garage by the end of the month......
Anytime you wanna roll down- PM me w/ a number or set up a PM where I can send you mine.
