    Hi Everyone,

I live in northeast Pa. outside of Scranton. Back in the 80's when I was in high school, I had a 77 Regal and put a 455 in it. After blowing out a couple of 10 bolt rears, I went looking through some junk yards for a 12 bolt posi. I stumbled across a 74 Rivera GS in a stack of cars waiting to be crushed. It was hit in the back, so I assumed it ran and drove. Anyway, I ended up buying the rear and the engine out of it. I put the rear in my Regal, and kept the stage 1 455 for a "future project". Well, 39 years later the engine is still sitting in my garage. I pulled the heads to make sure it was a stage 1. Now, I am going to be moving this summer and I really don't want to take this engine with me. I've been out of building engines for so long, that I don't know if anyone would want this engine or if I should just scrap it. I'd give it to someone who could use it. Just come to my house and pick it up.
What do you guys think? Anybody want it? Or should I scrap it?

    docgsx It's not a GTX

my opinion is do not scrap it. There are many guys on the board who would make an effort to come and get it. Those engines are getting harder to find. Put it in the for sale section with your minimum asking price and it will be gone today! Welcome to the board

If nobody here wants the engine, distance could be an issue, post it on your local Craigslist or on Facebook Marketplace.

    Don't scrap it!

Agree w/Doc. Someone will want it. Put a price & post in the parts for sale & CL/FB.

@breakinbuick11 (Louie) & his Dad are in your area & might want.

Do you have a way to lift/load it?

Welcome - Core is worth at least $500. Carb and dizzy are worth more - check the numbers!
    Just trying to be fair...

It's found a new home. A member from the site picked it up last week. Thanks again for all the help.
