hey all, my name is Victor from the Bay Area. I've just purchased a 1969 Buick Skylark Convertible from N.C. I was just informed that they have picked it up and it is on its way to its new family. Just very excited to sit behind it and hear its power. I bought it after selling my 2000 Mustang GT Convertible Supercharged Pony. I sold it because plain and simply just got bored of it. Once the add-ons are in, there's pretty not much else to do, unless you want to get really extreme with it. Anyhow, I'm excited to touch base with members and share info. I'm actually looking to purchase stock wheels for this car, any hints?

Perhaps have them made at Specialty Wheels in Oregon or post for used under the parts wanted section here. Which NC car? Verde Green?

  4. Welcome aboard, Victor! Yes, post some pics if you can. Let me know if you need any help with pic posting, or making your own avatar picture.

14x6 chrome Buick rims are the norm for 68/69 cars, although 15" rims are a direct bolt on also, as long as you make sure to get the 4 3/4" bolt pattern ones, not the 5" big car rims. I'm changing my 68 to 15x7 chrome wheels next spring I think, and will soon have enough rims for the swap. Then I'll have 5 14x6 rims to move. You'll pay more for 15" rims, very nice condition ones can run $50-$75 each. 14's can be had for much less, as demand is light.

Posting your needs on the parts wanted forum is a good start!
