I was on this forum a few years ago. Ended up selling my 1970 Skylark and going inactive. I have just purchased another 1970 Skylark and will be referring to this forum for information on how to make it better.
Welcome back from a "new" member. I joined in July 2019, when I got my Wildcat. I have found this forum to be exceptional, and the people the same. I assume, being a returning member, you feel the same. Second Skylark eh, I guess once the Buick bug bites, it is hard to shake.
I've had the car for 4 months and have made some improvements. Installed the Lectric Limited HEI conversion and new wires, plugs, cap, rotor, and coil. New master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders. Then tackled the suspension. Installed Spohn upper and lower rear tubular control arms, front and rear sway bars, all with poly bushings (Spohn had a Christmas sale, 50% off everything and free shipping). Then did the P-S-T front end rebuild kit with the polygraphite bushings and Hector's quick ratio power steering box. Will be picking up a 8.5" 10 bolt in a few days and having a posi unit with 3.42 gears installed. That will it for this year. But realy looking forward to driving it this summer.
