    Hello Guys,
finally I have my new project at home. Bought the car in february in Missouri and got it shipped with a company to the Netherlands. The car arrived here in Germany two days ago, the first time Ive seen the car in person. Found the car here on the board in the cars for sale leads section. After a few phone calls with the seller, he made me a good offer and I decided to buy the car unseen...
Its a 1972 Skylark, originally with a 350-2, now with a 430 in it. I thought I will get all the documents about the engine build, but I only got a sheet from the machining shop. It is 0.060 over, has forged Poston Rods and forged Poston pistons in it, Poston S-Divider Intake, 455 heads ported and with a three angle valve job. What I dont know at the moment are the cam specs and the compression ratio. It also has full length Hooker Headers, TA 3" Exhaust and a 650cfm (cant believe it, seems way to small for the 430, have to check the numbers again) Holley DoublePumper, 4.10 Posi and a TH350 transmission. I have some old time slips from the seller, best time it went was a 12.30.
The body of the car is straight, quater panels are new, but it needs a new Trunk Floor and Driver Floor pan.
Here are some pictures from the day before yesterday, we did put a new battery in and some gas and it fired right up. I drove a few miles already and I can tell you, this thing is a BEAST! Never drove a car like this before, after the test drive I was scared about this torque.I will keep you updated.

Gas costs about 1.38 per liter, about $1.76.
Did some work on the car the last days. I finished the front suspension, removed the upper tubular arm again to install the spring correct and put a new KYB shock in which was missing. Also installed the CPP front sway bar.
On friday I wanted to start with the rear disk brake conversion, then I decided to pull the rearend out to do the job properly and gave the rearend and all the attachments away to get sandblasted. Will put the rearend in epoxy primer tomorrow and then start with the conversion. Here are some pictures (Sorry about the cellphone pictres). :TU:

    Some update:
I was working a lot on the car the last 3 weeks. Rear end is in, had some problems with my old master cylinder, so I bought a new one. Fixed a lot of electrical wiring, battery re-located into the trunk, installed rear sway bar, welded the headers and a lot of other small stuff, but unfortunately I have no new pictures.
But the car is ready to go now. I was planning to go to my first quatermile race on the 20th of june, but I had some trouble with my 15x10 draglite wheels 3.5BS and the 28x10.5x15 to fit under the wheel well. It seemed that I cant find any wheels until the 20th of june, but then Robert Noeken "Opa" made it possible that I can race the car on the planned date and helped me out with some Weld Prostar Wheels. Thanks again to Robert!!
Heres a short video and a picture of the car:
