Just like to send along greetings to all Buick lovers/fans out there. I don't know how I stumbled on to this site but after browsing around at the "ENORMITY" of resources available it was a slam dunk to sign up. I've been a Buick man since I 1st got my license back in '73. My 1st car was a '67 Skylark ragtop w/300 2-speed. It cost me all of $250.00. I drove her around for 5 years before her ticker finally shut down and she was put to pasture. I followed that up with a you guessed it another Skylark ragtop. This 1 was a '70 w/350 auto on the column. That girl took care of me for almost 175k miles before the New England winters eventually caught up with the frame and I had to lay her to rest as well. O well I had a 4wheeled mid life crisis back in fall of '02 and picked up an almost duplicate down to the color copy of my 1st Buick. Yup, another '67 Skylark ragtop. It's been like falling in love again. Needless to say with 3 kids and a wife my garage was pretty full of stuff. BUT 'OldBlue' which is what I call her, inspired me to re-claim my space. And that is where she rests now waiting for this Winter season to shut down. Thats it for now, we look forward to Buick Banter from all of you in the times ahead. I'll have to see if I can get some shots of my girl up with my postings. It says you need 1 post to do so. --Take care all- :beer :beer :beer
Welcome to the party, Greg! Those Skylarks are easy to get attached to. As you can tell by my signature, I've had a few in my past as well. Those were the nicest handling rear wheel drive cars I've ever owned.:beer
Welcome Greg. Lucky you, you're up there in Bristol. Can't Wait to see pics of your 'Old Blue'. Larry Long Live the A-body!!
Thanx for the "Welcome Party" fellow scribes. It took me a while to compress "OldBlue" to a proper size to fit, but HERE SHE IS !! Ain't she sweet. Come on winter go away it's "Cruisin time again" Gotta go good night all, we'll check back in the morning.
