I recently bought a 68 Electra convertible. After taking it to a local mechanic he told me I have a fuel leak at the carburetor and a gummed up distributor shaft. The carburetor he thinks is no problem and can be fixed. He suggested replacing the distributor with an HEI but didn't know if it would work on this model year. Can anyone help me out here? Are there any performance upgrades I should consider? Thanks in advance Mike
Welcome to the board Mike :TU: A 455 HEI (13 tooth gear) will drop right in there, from a 350 HEI you need to change the 14 tooth gear.
