    78 buicks

well, not all were mint or restored cars, there were a good many nice daily grocery getters mixed in and some parts cars that couldve been brought back, but ended up as generous donors to keep other buicks on the road !!
I have enjoyed this hobby immensely,I love rootin around in junk yards, but with fewer and fewer younger people gettin involved in the classic car genre... I myself no longer really look for parts cars and the like, its nice to have spare parts laying ,but when there is nobody to trade with ,or to purchase outright, makes sense to steeeeer clear of them , I have" keepers syndrome" !
In '96 when I moved back to wisconsin from denver, I sold a '67 gs 400 that was "sick" loaded with options, a '64 riviera, '69 electra 225 2 dr., a '69 gs california, '66 gs post, and had sold my '72 gs 455 the year before, why I will never know!! thus keeping only my low miles '71 skylark thats now for sale......
I hadnt had a ram air car in a while and wanted to close the books on this hobby per say at least from the standpoint of personal cars, by gettin a drop top '70-2 gs its the only type I hadnt had otherwise pretty much everything twice + over.....
I wanted a stage one convert and had several chances at them in the past 3 years , but just couldnt see parting with the big coin to do so especially for one needin work...total restoration is really no longer an option these days with the shortage of clean sheet metal..
so, this gs 350 convert was everything I wanted option and color wise so it was an easy guilt free buy for me, plus the price was cheap cheap for a western rust free car needing only paint...I got er from the 2nd owner who had her since '84...
    best, john

Hello John my name is george. I live in wisconsin also and I was wondering are you or do you know of anyone that is interested in purchasing a 71 buick electra 225? I letting the car go for lack of time and money to complete it. The major things that are wrong with it is the engine has a knock, but not locked up, the passenger side exhaust manifold needs to be replaced and then some cosmetic damage. The new parts on the car is a starter, alternator, exhaust, springs, shocks, brakes. Plus I have alot of parts that I found to try to restore it plus I have alot of parts from a doner car. if you would like to see pictures it is currently listed on ebay, I looking to get roughly 1500 out of it, but I definately know that there is more money in it than that, but I'm currently stuck between a rock and a hard place. If you would like to contact me you could call me at (414)353-1582 or email me at george_bullox@yahoo.com. Thanx alot and have a good evening. car location is in milwaukee. :ball: :TU:
