Hey. new to this site. Just wanted to drop a line. I'm not too familiar with this stuff, but will try. I have a 70 Stage 1 4-speed. It has been sitting up way too long. Hopefully, will get something going soon.

It is a 4-speed with air and tilt steering. I believe the color is burnished saddle? It has a tan vinyl top bucket seats.

Don't have any pictures right now. Unfortunately, it's been sitting up for about 6 years now. I'll have to work on the pictures.

I had a 70 4 spped convt the same combo. Seems like they made a lot that color. A couple of the members have tha data base and can tell you exact number made.

In the archieves there is a shocking pic of a burnished saddle stage 1 before and after a garage fire. Sad to see a fine machine like that go to scrap.

Who do i talk to about the data base? Is it researched by VIN

That is a different issue than stats. If your car was in the last 6 months of the run ( Jan 1970 --end) Wayne Roberts saved the micro fische. If your car was in the first 6 months ( actually a number in Dec) you can get that info fron Sloan.

What date does your cowl tag relect and we can direct you?

I'm not sure. Truthfully, it's been a long long time since I have done anything with my car. I'm ashamed to admit it. A friend recently told me about this site and i just started visiting it. I stay pretty busy. I'll keep in touch. If you have the spare time, maybe you can guide me the right direction with my research.

Lokk at the cowl tag and get the codes . It will have a scheme to decode the week it came off the line

For example 02c is the 3rd week of Feb. Once we know that we can direct you to one of the two places which will have the data for a 70 car.
