Classic american cars have been my hobby since the early 80's..
As a matter of fact i took a break from the cars while doing other things..
BUT... The V8 fever was never cured, just put on hold..
A couple of years ago I bought a 31 chevy as a partly done rod project, however my old Buick's kept coming up in the back of my mind, and just a few weeks ago i found this 66 Riviera, one of my all time favourites..
Couldn't resist, bought it, and now the rod project is being sold, to pay for restoration of my dream...:TU:

Wanted to post a link, but rules says "after 10 post's" :beers2:

    Heey... Nice job.. :)
Edited my signature (didn't have any)...
Thanks for the warm welcome, and displaying my car..

I'll probably spend a few days getting to know the possibilities of this forum, before I'm ready to fix up "my place" here..

Nice webside you have there, Erik..

Tony the 66 Rivs were way ahead of their time even by today's standards. Dennis Manner drives one and that says a lot.

    *LOL*.. How good is this...
For 3 weeks I've been searching for spare parts and any information available...
I join this forum, and up pops pic's of my own car, which I couldn't display myself + three bonus articles, even one showing correct colour... :Comp:

If i mention problems finding new upholstery, what happens then...?

The 1967 upholstery should fit your '66, but always ask first :Smarty:

    Tony,

Another great resource for information and lots of friendly help is to join the Riviera Owners Association (ROA... http://www.rivowners.org/). Dues are very reasonable at $35 a year (you can pay with paypal or a credit card) and you get a professional grade, bi-monthly club magazine with articles, tech-tips and classified ads. We have members all over the world, so don't think you are isolated by your location.

You can also check out this forum on the AACA website that pertains to all classic cars, but has a section for Buicks and a sub-section for the ROA... http://forums.aaca.org/ . You will have to join the site to post (no dues). Great forum (besides V8Buick) to ask questions and get answers quickly.

Hope this helps and welcome back to the Buick family!
