My name is Chris I am frome Huntsburg Ohio near Chardon. I won an auction for a '68 skylark GS 350 on Ebay and hope to be getting the car here from California soon. I have been into cars for a long time but never pesonally owned a Buick. The first two cars I drove (my dads) were Buicks and 2 of the 1st motors I ever rebuilt were buicks but it has been a while 15 years or so. have some friends that are into Buicks and they are helping me out a little, finding stuff and making suggestions and the board seems very helpful. I have noticed there are a lot of guys from my area and i hope to hook up with some of them too. I guess there is a big race event at norwalk on sept. 12 I hope to have my car and be able to attend that to check out the cars there.
I don't know what direction to take with this project yet, I am still giving it some thought. My last 2 cars were pro streeters and I am not going to go that route but I have a 455 and some
stage I heads that I may have to use!!!!!!!!
The car has a bench and I have located some buckets I am going to recover and some new wheels, I just don't dig the 14" wheels and hub caps!!
But, I am also thinking if the car is really original and in good shape I may just stick with the 350, amybe even consider doing a little racing in a pure stock class, who knows!
I'll post some pics as soon as I get the car home and get some time to check it out real good.

the owners of the car really messed up by

    1) listing the car as buick Grand Sport (no year, and not abbreviating GS, etc.)
    2) Not responding to emails really hurt as you know.

But theysaid they had a couple of family emergencies that prevented them from getting to their computer to check their
    E mails.

So far all seems well, although the car is not perfect it should make a good basis for my project!

I hope to get it soon so I can get started.

Yes they did a lot of things wrong.

I talked to them in detail about the car and posted a write up here on the board, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

Sounded like a pretty solid car mechanically.

Yes they said "Grand Sport" some A-body owner's pet peeves, should be Gran Sport.

Congrats on the car! Goodluck! :TU: :beer
