Hello, Well here are some pics & a little info about my 70 stage 1. This is an all original 60k almost # matching car, unfortunatly sometime in the mid 80's the second owner rebuilt the motor & had the block decked removing the casting # but who cares its still a stage 1:grin: I Know this is a true stage 1 because I drooled over this exact car as an 18 year old & worked with the second owner at a Buick dealership from 1980 to 1991 who purchaced the car in 1975 from the original owner for $1500!!! Anyway I purchaced the car in sept of 2001 & just this summer have upped the hp a little...ported stg 1 iron heads,Earick racing cam & converter, poston headers & b4b intake.I also installed Wheel Vintiques billet magnum 18" rear with 295/45r18 goodyear F1 GS & 17"frt with 245/45r17.I Know some of you may cringe at the big wheel idea but I wanted to do something different & I liked this wheel because it doent have to much bling & looks very much like a buick ralley.Thats enough for now let me know what you think...good or bad! Scott
Correct me if Im wrong but those rims look like theyd be on a Mustang dont you think? They look great on the GS though. Nice ride.
Hi Scott - Welcome to the V8Buick board! You have a beautiful Stage1. I run a factory Stage1 registry, which is trying to document all the surviving factory Stage1 cars. Would you like to register your Stage1? I would require your name, the VIN, sales codes, and the cowl plate information (specifically Fisher body number, Trim code, Paint code, and Build Date). Please see my website for details - http://www.stage1registry.com It's important to keep a historical record of the survivors. If you want, I can call you to discuss - please give me a good time to call. Thanks, and please reply.
WOW!!!!! Your car looks great. I see why you have drooled over this car for years. I too was lucky enough to drool over mine till '95. Mine too is a 65K no's matching, '70 Stage1, with a 4 speed. I found it ironic that you mentioned Earick Racing. Brian built my engine, and in fact is doing somemore "tweaking" for me. Great ride!!!
