I'm thinking of adding these to my project. :error: :Do No:

 In any case, does anybody know where to get such items? Ebay wants over $100 shipped.

$100 for how many? One side or all 6?

    $129 for six.

$129 for a set of six.

I would like to get eight of them though. The seller mentioned a $10 discount if I buy two sets of six. :puzzled:

If I had money to spare I would get these for sure. :TU:

I've wanted to get a set to put on my Park Ave.
I too have seen the ones listed on ebay, but think the money they want is crazy. I wonder if they actually sell any at that price?
I saw some lately, listed as portholes for the PT Cruiser priced at around $30.00, which sounds more in line with reality.

I wonder what a Buick dealer would charge for a set?

    Check the Buick Bugle

The Bugle is the monthly BCA newsletter, it's a high-quality, magazine-style publication. I don't have one handy at the moment, but there is an ad toward the back for these portholes every month, sold in sets of 6 or 8. I think they may be marketed by a local BCA chapter, but I don't remember.

    Check it out!

I've looked at those overprices things too, and concluded that if I ever got some, it would be because of
4 words: parking lot, screw driver. :Brow:

So I don't guess I'll ever get some.

    Thanks for the replies!

Did you see that price on Ebay? or where? Thanks. At $60, I would buy two sets today. :beer

Thanks. Is that a local publication? Do you remember the cost? :TU:

Remind me not to park my car near Abilene, Texas. :spank:

I recently saw they had them for sale at the Sloan Museum Gift Store. I believe they were $68.00 for set of six and that was including a "Heritage Edition" chrome namebadge. I thought everything else there was kinda pricey, so I didn't get them figuring I could find them cheaper. I see Ebay wants about $95 + shipping. I havent inqired at a Buick Dealer yet. I guess i should have bought them when I was at the Museum, since I probably wont go back for a while. If Hindsight was 20/20.....hmmmm.

    Join the BCA!

    Check www.buickclub.org

I'm now looking at the Nov 2005 issue, the ad for the portholes is on P. 30. It is indeed from R & M Automotive, and the contact info above is accurate.

    Set of 6 = $69.90
    Set of 8 = $79.90

    (plus UPS shipping)

It says they install w/out drilling, and use 3M ahesive.

    Excellent! Thanks John and Steve!

Cool deal. Sounds better than the Ebay deal by far. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

John, can you comment on the quality?

    Frank,

I thought they were fine for the cost.

    Frank,
I'm not finding those listings for the PT Cruiser. It was just a couple of weeks ago that I ran across them too.
They really looked too modern in design though. They had a carbon fiber look to them.

I may just order some from that R&M myself.
    $70.00 ain't so bad.

Found the cheap ones! . . . and boy are they cheap!

    With a warning.

Dug a little deeper on the web last night and found someone who had purchased these from ebay. They ended up being thick vinyl STICKERS! :Dou: No chrome, no grille, just a sticker. :af:

The ended up putting them on his riding lawnmower.

Going to place an order with R & M.

Thanks everyone for the input. :TU:
