got good oil pressure but not coming out of the push rods after replacing the same timing chain cover, new timing chain, same oil pump. i had to change timing chain. i did put vasiline on gears when i took apart the oil pump .
What year and size engine? You should post in the forum that best suites the question. Oh and welcome to v8Buick Ray
That year Buick 350 should have the oil through pushrod design. When you say you have good oil pressure are you saying the low oil pressure idiot light doesn't come on or are you using an oil pressure gauge? Ray
when i first primed it with the tool (oil pump) it came out of two pushrods very slow(driverside). the passenger none primed but one and it shot out good. when i first put the car together i thought it was all fix, i cranked it with valve covers off and seen no oil coming out pushrods and they are not bent but i get 40psi at start up and im not wanting to start it up again.
Does only the dr side have no flow or both sides? If the front cam bearing is shot or clogged the dr side lifters will not get oiled properly, thus not sending oil through the dr side pushrods. Ray
both really not working only one pushrod on passenger side shot good the driverside when i prime it one leak very slow
If you turn the engine by hand slowly and prelube the oil should come out the other pushrods in the order the oil bands of the lifters are getting pressurized. In other wards if you just prime it is normal to have 2 or 3 squirting. If you watch an engine idle the oil will squirt out each time the lifter goes up and down the squirting is not contstant. It doesn't sound like you have a problem. Never mind my previous post. Ray
prelube? pouring oil in the heads/rockerarms. even when i started the car oil should of swirted out right? i let it run about 10 seconds then turn it off and try again and no oil squirting out of rockers/pushrods
