    daward Measure twice, cut once.

There was actually a thread about doing a BBB swap into an MG going on over in the Street/Strip 400/430/455 forums... so maybe its relevant here?

This is a good friend of mine's semi-original 1971 MGB GT. Currently it has new knockoff wire wheels and fresh paint (original color).

All the rust work has been cut and replaced (mostly in the doglegs) with steel. Stripped and repainted a year and a half ago.

The original motor and trans were pulled and rebuilt by an MG shop in West Chester, PA right after the paint and body were done. Chrome bumper, Overdrive Car. Pirana Electronic Ignition/Weber sidedraft/4-2-1 full length header conversion. Mild Cam, stock head. Super Rare Factory A/C car.

There was no expense spared on the car, and I've seen at least $15,000 worth of receipts for the car. For the last year he's used it to commute to work at least 3 days a week, needless to say it is very reliable. He bought another house, and is now carrying two mortgages... I think he's an idiot for selling the nicer of his two MGB's, but he asked for my help in selling.

$9500 or best SERIOUS offer. We can certainly accomodate up to date pictures with interest, we'd just have to dig out and uncover the car from its winter hibernation!

I used to own a 1973 MG-BGT. Man was even red also.

They were a, uhhh, unique, car. I think someone would be doing a LOT of modifications to the frontend to get it to support the weight of a 455. They did come from the factory with 215 Rover (european Buick) V8's. And I have seen them with other small blocks. But never one with a big block in it.

You're talking 60's Ford Cobra stuff. That would be one scary fast car.
