In search of a NOS 1973 Buick 455 fan shroud. Part number #1243007. This is the type that incorporates the windshield washer reservoir and the coolant overflow tank, as pictured below.

Have someone from this board that is close by go pick it up. That is a DEAL!

Unfortunately for me, I live in Sydney, Australia and I don’t know anyone on this board personally. Maybe I could ask him to box it up and then get FedEx to pick it up and deliver it to me?

That shouldn't matter. Start a thread on here asking who is close to xxxxx city and see who will help you out. I've done it several times, and also done several favors for board members local to me.

Akron is west of Batavia, so there should be someone up that way. This vendor is usually at the Carlise Spring/Fall events so that might work is you can wait till fall.

Agree w/Adam (@Smartin). If you can work out a deal, we'll figure out how to get it from the seller & to you.

I know I'll be passing through the area in July.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a 73 nos shroud. That is a pretty cool find

I'm curious, does a full size 455 car use the same shroud as a mid-size 455 Gran Sport car of 73-74 vintage? Anybody know for sure? Larry.

I have sent a message to the seller to see if he will relist the shroud if I can arrange for someone to pick it up.

The seller, Ed, is happy to relist and sell the shroud if someone will pick it up for me. I don’t know if any of you can help but I’d be grateful for advice on how I should handle this.

I know Ed, lol. Even been to his place a long time ago to look @ a couple cars (should've bought'em both!). Happy to pick it up in July if nobody else can beforehand.

Thanks Dano! I will get back to Ed and see if that’s ok. In the meantime I can work out how to get it over to Australia. I have used FedEx many times and they have been great.

Yw! Unfortunately I don't have Ed's phone # & communications through eBay is dicey. Tbh, it'd be easier/cheaper to do this deal outside eBay. Not sure he'd remember my name, but you can tell him I'm the one that bought the NOS spare wheet/tire from him a couple years ago.

I have a friend that has one in his truck to go to the Nationals swap meet. I was at his house yesterday. I didn’t look at it closely, but it was setting on top of other parts in the front of the bed. He has a topper, so everything is inside out of the weather.
Send me a PM if you are interested and I will get the two of you together.
    Thanks, John

I wonder if this is the same as the 76 Lesabre I took the 350 engine out. It was similar
