Just an observation... I have a NOS 65 Sky Hood Ornament in my possession and the speed nut has never been screwed on. The mounting stud is nice and smooth. The one in this auction appears to have the speed nut attached for some reason.

I asked about the condition of chrome/pitting and this is the reponse that I got (see below). I don't think he understands what 'NOS' means. These are NOT threaded from the factory. I have a feeling that this is a nice 'used' item, but not NOS. "Hi, the speednut looks like it might of been threaded on the stud. There are a few imperfections on the item. It a NOS so I don't know if it was ever mounted before or not. The tip might be like that from the factory. Rich"
