NOS 68-72 A-body a/c part

Brand new in the Delco Remy box, #1998901 defroster door vacuum control. $50 plus shipping. Also have some other NOS a/c stuff for 70-2.

Where does this mount? I have an NOS vacuum control switch that mounts with the selector and blower speed switch, but the numbers on my box are different than yours. Delco box with 1#15-781 and 1386904 Switch Asm on it. Anyone know if they are the same part?

 

Tim, Got a group number on that part?

 

9.280, which is the same group number as the selector switch on the a/c / heater control panel. This must go on the heater box. I think the one in the kick panel is plastic, and this one is metal.

I am guessing it is the large diameter metal flying saucer shaped item that one vacuum line attaches to?

 

It's a 4" diameter galvanized metal vacuum actuator with one vacuum nipple, and has 2 mounting studs with a 1.5" long lever.

 

This is the defroster door control on top of the "heater box".
