Hi, i bought NOS fenders for my 67 gs. i never tried to put them on,until i was putting the car together :spank: i can get the top to line up,then just below the upper hinge the fender sticks out. then it goes back in,and looks good. do most nos fenders need to be fitted? it seems like i need to put it on the floor and push in on the fender.but i don't wanna do that. just curious. thanks Michael
Most fenders will need some work to get a decent fitment. You say it looks like it needs to be pushed in, so if you bolt it at the top and make that fit properly, you can add shims at the bottom attached points which will pull the fender down and pull it in right aorund the middle area. The trick is to do that and get all the body lines to match up correctly. The art of compromise. later Tim
Every panel has to be fitted NOS or used . Always fit and before paint and keep track of shims and their locations when you get it right . JOhn
