DL, Here we go with this. My interpretation was you were correcting me due to I missed the model. I didn't get that you were interested in buying the part. It would have been more clear if you said "I'm insterested but what model is it for"? I'm not sure it just asking what year means your intererested in the part. I really don't care about the part itself or who buys it but just the point of the matter. Today may just be the last day I'm selling parts on here. I always try and follow the board rules and don't cause issues. I'll be pulling the part off here it's not for sale anymore. Not worth the hassle for $15. I'm not a moderator and I don't correct people for the purpose of busting their balls. I asked the application because I was interested in the part. I was working and unable to respond before after your response before Dan. Nothing to get upset over . but that's what happened.
Really after 20 pages of threads and 500 individual threads, most are parts for sale threads? Brian, I don't follow your threads much because I know you don't usually have 70-72 parts. But this seems like an excessive reaction to DL's comment. I just saw another thread that seems to not be following the rules. I am not a moderator either but someone that would like to get a fair shake if I was to try to buy parts. There is nowhere in the world you can get the exposure to the exact guys that use these parts like V8Buick. DL to you, IMHO you could have asked differently. I agree you showed interest but, maybe it because guys that jump on threads who have no interest in the parts. Its possible Brian did not think you were buying just correcting the thread. I hope we can all try to do this better because I would hate to see this part of V8 go away. I have bought many good parts and only had a couple bad experiences. Now I need to but out. Sorry if this is offending anyone.
I don't react well somethimes. I handle complaints all day long and fix people's problems and errors. I always hope my personal life doesn't have the same issues. I usually can read people and can figure out what they want. This time I was wrong. I thought it was a simple note of correction to me to fix my add. Over all it may be my time to move on and be removed from the V8 board. BTW I'm not offended just burnt out.
Great now I'll never learn about those 64/65 GS and Skylarks. WHy not just take some time away and just work on the cars. I am in limbo right now and cannot do anything on mine. So I live vicariously through the guys that are getting things done. I still buy parts and sometimes I buy them for others that aren't on the internet. Around here I am the Suncoupe guy and the Buick parts procurer because I can find the parts (usually)
Brian, that's really not necessary. I Hope you reconsider. Simple misunderstanding. I've never jumped on anyone to correct an Ad that I recall. And anyone but a Mod should not be doing so . A direct put me in line probably would have been better response on my part but I just wanted to confirm what I was buying.
