    Not so sure about that

I think the selling price has already suffered, with a re-pop just around the corner for under $200. I can't see giving this guy $200 for the nos, when I can give it to Alan for the re-pop. :Dou: :Dou:
Then only problem is, Alan hasn't made any yet. What to do?:Do No:

    Overflow bottles

    Year one has them .:TU:

  8. Frank is already offering his for sale, thru many distributors. I have not seen a very recent update to Alan's project.

It puts many of us in a tough spot that have placed an order with Alan, but have no idea if/when his will get made. While at the same time another project has come to the market with finished products. CARS has listed Frank's tanks on ebay already for $149, but don't even show a pic of a new tank, just old used pics.

Why would anyone use this picture when trying to sell a new product?

So is Cars Inc and Year One both carrying Frank's reproduction tanks?

...seems like only yesterday I was looking at the prototypes...

    Hey Frank :TU:

My only problem with spending 200 bucks for an overflow bottle is that I would never put it on my cars.It would probably be in the attic with my NOS and spare original 70GS grilles.Lord forbid if antifreeze ever touched it.It would cause a heart attack!

Ok, I'll ask a stupid question.

Why $400 for a NOS tank when the re-pro ones are $150?:Do No:

Frank's are selling for $149. Also, they have the capability of removing the top for periodic cleaning. "nice feature".

    John:

I have this funny feeling that without your support, the reproduction of this particular item would not have been possible. Much thanks, if I'm correct on that assessment. It also speaks volumes about a person who gets things done without patting themselves on the back in public about it. With all the puffing in reference to reproducing this part, its nice to see someone come through. The pricing is right as well.

I also have a feeling that if your involved in it, it will be a quality reproduction, one that a consumer would have confidence in purchasing. Given that, once product is available, I'll be buying.
