I love my new stance. Took a week of solid work to do all the mods to the suspension back in Jan. I have it sitting like I wanted, plus it handles and drives like a sports car now. :3gears: :3gears:

Wow, nice John. :TU: Are those the same rims that were in your last avatar?

Love the stance, and the spoiler :TU: :beer :bglasses:

Nice! What type of suspension mods did you need to do? Any pics? :TU:

Well Chris, I liked yours and tried to copy it a little.

I just did the normal upgrades. Ebiach (or however you spell it) small block A-body springs. Kyb gas-adjust shocks all around. Newly rebuilt 342 posi rear. Aftermarket sway bars. All new poly bushings. New prop. valve, brake master, rotors, calipers, brute force pads, drums, cylinders and brute force shoes. Ordered a new performance steering box from Summitt, and installed a better steering pump. The blasting and detailing of the parts took as long as the normal assembly itself. Now all I have to clean and paint is the center floor pans! No undercoating, so it will be easy. I have had most of this stuff for over a year, but never made the time to do the work. So, I had a friend who told me he would go to our shop and do it for me for a small fee. One week later, no grease or blood on my hands, and it was finished! Good guy to know. This thing handles and steers sooooo much better. Those pesky rustangs better look out on the mountain roads.

Looks great. But MY opinion- I don't like the wheels, but if you do then stay with them.

At first I thought those wheels gotta go......but then after looking at it for a while, I think they look good. I'll bet she handles like a dream! Sharp car :TU:

Joe, Of all people, I thought you would hate the wheels. Glad to see you can tolerate them. These wheels are a pain to keep clean. I have to have 2 cleaning rags when I go to a cruise-in. One rag to wipe the vomit off the wheels and the other to wipe the drool from them. There is no in-between!

Hope you can come to Lenoir. Did you get the email I sent you?

I LIKE it! I think it's awesome to have an old muscle car that handles with the best of the new cars.

What size are those rims - 22"?

17's: 8" front, 9" rear. 245/45-17's all the way around (could use slightly larger on the rear, but I got a good deal on these 4). BF Goodrich high performance normally around $170 each, but I bought blemished. The only blemish was poor lettering on the sides.

    Thanks for all the compliments.

17's? Whoa. You must have lowered it - A Lot! That's roughly the sizes I have, and my Lark doesn't look like that at all!

I do know that my car is so low that I can just barely fit a floor jack under the front crossmember as it is now..

I got your PM but no email. The email link on this board seems to be broken, send it to jmnaab@buffnet.net

YOU can fit a floor jack under your cross member??? Wow, that must be nice!

I have one of this low aluminum racing jacks and I can't get that under the cross member. :eek2:

Yes, I can. It JUST fits under there. I'm using F Body spindles (which drop about an inch) and diff springs for about 1" more drop. Rear springs are stock types.
