I was just talking to Brian this morning about this, and again he said, "it's alway's been a Marauder, just has an engine upgrade".

It's really not that important that the spectator's hear for sure what it is,or isn't, at least it's there running/supporting the event!

Dave, it's funny you mention that. :beers2:

Sometimes, for better or for worse, everything in the Mid-Atlantic area gets lumped as "New York-style" which irks me to no end. I grew up on both sides of Philly (DE and NJ) so New York to me is a place where people can't be trusted, where the light turns red yet three cars try to pass through, where people in Little Italy think they're Italian until a real Italian walks through and then it's apparent the locals are just funny little people.

In Princeton, there's a place called Hoagie Haven, and it's simply my favorite shop aside of a pizza joint. A 12" sub is probably $6 at this point, which is super cheap considering any other place in America (read: Nebraska) would charge a lot more for something less authentic. Salami, Capacola, Ham, and bologna garnished with shredded lettuce and tomatoes, then a touch of spices and dressing - all crammed into an Amoroso roll. I will be going to Philly on the 8th for a wedding and will cruise by Princeton for a sub (hoagie, sub, torpedo, whatevah!) but I don't think its integrity will last through the week. But in Lansing, there's a place called Jersey Subs which may be worth a stop for you.

I can bring some bialys from NY if anyone is interested, though.

As I'll be going to this wedding with other former classmates, I may try to hit the cheese steak haunts in South Philly. I haven't been to the city in 10 years so it should be interesting.

Otherwise, I will be loaded for bear with my yearly stop at Georgio's in East Lansing as their gyro pizza is simply over the top and yummy on so many levels.

Can someone kick me a list of hotels in the Stanton area. I'm planning on coming for a couple of days. What is the host hotel? I would like to stay there, It is nice to be able to talk with the racers. Thanks Jim

20 miles up the main road (US 127) from Alma (host hotel location) is the Soaring Eagle Casino, which is huge. Not quite Vegas or Atlantic City, but not all bad. If you can't get a decent room in Alma or Edmore, look into it. :Brow:

    Diego,

I didn't know about those two places in E. Lansing, will check with my daughter. I was there in 1973 and 1974, which is a long time ago.

Genuine Philly Cheese Steaks are also the greatest on the planet. I order them every time I see them on the menu anywhere, but they just don't measure up. Hoagies used to cost $.50 each when I was in high school there, and we'd buy 50-100 for a field day type event. They have to be fresh and eat them right away.

it's time for an Olds hi-jack. This is fresh from this past weekend. This is still sitting on the "used lot" along with at least 80 other cars from 1940-1961 with a few later 60's stuff sprinkled here and there.

Diego I have been very thoughtful and have tried to preemptively write down my cars discription for you. Please review and let me know if I have been clear enough or if I need to make adjustments.

    Car: Yes I brought one
    Make: Isn't it obvious?
Model: No it has never modeled
    Engine: Yes
CID: Enough, unless I get pumped, then... "I thought this was F.A.S.T. racing..."
Tranny: That is a nasty accusation
HP rating: More than some less then others
Rear gear: Yes I heard it whining today
Color: Can't you see out of that lofty tower you've put yourself in?
Cloned: No Bruno brought Dolly, on a stick.
Goals: Never had any before and it served me good through out skool

I hope this helps and is clear and concise.

    Mark

    Car: Nope, Shower Stall
    Make: Tupperware
Model: Once, Nude, but it was for an art class and done very tastefully
Engine: Black and Decker Auqarium Pump
    CID: Less than most
Tranny: Nope, just a normal guy with smallish man boobs
HP rating: Doesn't matter, it's a sports car
Rear gear: yeap, even brought a spare
    Color: White Guy
Cloned: Afraid so, the owner/driver is a clown..... Oh, Clone, uh, no, it's a real Corvette
Goals: World Domination ??? well, that or at least not having to pull the motor apart on Sunday, Sept 17th......

    Diego,

You need to get a mic set up so that you can be in the waterbox like the dude at Tulsa. That way you can see what the colors are! Wear black so that the rubber particles don't show as bad!!!:bglasses:

I have a red Ford, well no, it's red and black. Unless you count the white walls, then it's red and black and white. Then there's the chrome, and gray interior and the old gray driver...........
It is a clone, it used to be a Chevy.
