I need verification of the part number for a 70 skylark neutral safety switch-- auto with long console. The number I show must be out dated.

Maybe it should be Group 2.188 . It is the one that trhe rod moves on the bottom of the steering column. What is your call on the group?

If that is the correct group I show #1990099 if with tilt/

Maybe it should be called a sector switch rather than a neutral safety switch.

I have one on the bench. It is a 70 unit w/orig neutral switch. Will it have the correct part number molded on it?

That is a good question. I was looking for the current number to try to locate a new one on GMparts direct.

Well, I looked at the original switch and could not see a part number.
I think I have one more to investigate.

Part # 1990099 is the ignition switch, not the neutral safety switch.
I'll try and scan the steering column page for you.

Yes we posted that number above and started calling it the sector switch in lieu of the neutral safety switch. That number is not yielding a part and I am wondering if it has been revised.
