Where do you get black oxide bolts? I am now bolting on all new suspension and finding that most bolts are silver Zinc or yellow . I did order bolts from The parts place for the front lower control arms and they were black. I orderd motot mount bolt kit from Year One and they were yellow instead of the black. Has anyone used the Eastwood zinc plating kit? I am sure that someone here has had the same problem. HELP!

Don't know if you realize this but black oxide is one of the weaker methods of corrosion protection. If you have any humidity or get water on them, they will rust right before your eyes.

You are right about that. I am thinking a matt clear coat on top.

    Ditto....they will rust
I believe the modern, eco-friendly, term is 'Parkerizing'
You can also dye a zink coating with a black dye...

but that will add some thickness to the hardware....
I've been looking at a 'cable lube' called 'Prelube 6' ....it may be a good solution to preserving hardware finish....
I have yet to try this...
