Waiting for slot to put car in for paint. Figure it will be painted late summmer. And working lots of OT to help pay for it all...still need complete exhaust system, recover the front and rear seats, new fule tank, rad, hoses, etc etc etc.

Also trying to sort out my spare parts, clean up and sell some stuff, get the rest tagged, boxed, labelled and into the computer for reference.

Last update was couple days ago, body section with final alignment of panels checked. I'm also running out of webspace, might have to redo some pages and cut back on the pictures a bit..or resize whats already there..

I will be back and up and running on the project this weekend....have 2 move some things around ...ROTISSERIE will be here soon...have a fellow board member possibly picking one up...also another board member comming by 2 cut some 1/4 panels and a few fast weld jobs...

trying 2 get some people from my area into partnering up on a rotisserie...but no interest....thats ok ...after I end up buying one the rental price will be high for them.....

very rusted around a few bushings...rusted metal comes off with bushings...

.....and this is/was a car with and excelent body and excelent driving/running....but now i understand all the hidden items a car might have ...this one was the result of it sitting in place for over 6 years...and 2 more years in my backyard.....

I'm starting to enjoy and realy getting into this project....its finish or bust :Smarty:

One good thing about those crossmemebrs is that they are easy to fix. Cut up some 1/8" steel sheet and weld it on as needed. Or repros are available...

Some crazy progress there....weird to see the back half sititng on the ground....

    Short term resto ?

Hey Frank - getting right into your resto ! Brings back fond and not so fond memories !:Do No:
Looks like this poor old car had a lot of exposure to our most unforgiving northern climate - just goes to prove the old saying 'never judge a book by it's cover', and 'they don't build em to last forever !' Amazing what surprises you find, as you dig a little deeper into a project. Looks like your doing it right, and you got lot'sa experience from fellow board members to back you up, and help when needed.
LOL on your long-term 'project' and keep us posted ! :beer :TU:

tlivingd BIG BLOCK, THE ANTI PRIUS

inspecting mine when i was under there for something else. mine has already been welded, it's also one of the cleanest looking non restored, regulary driven cars i've seen and it was welded before i got it. AAMCO musta welded it when they did a trans rebuild in 87. according to my reciepts although the reciept dosen't mention that repair.
