I bought a new one in '97 and it was a great car. Mine was red with black leather. With nothing more than a K&N filter and a B&M Ripper shifter added, I ran 13.46 at 102mph. With 4.10 gears and slicks alot of them were seeing high 12's back then. A friend of mine just bought an '03 Cobra 10th anniversary and that thing is awesome. Enjoy the Cobra.

I don't really like mustangs all that much, but they are close to keeping the term "fast". Not "muscle car" kind of fast, just fast. Actually, i dont really hate any car, just rice burners. My grandpa has an '03 mustang pony package edition with a V6 5 spd manual. (very rare, but it is true), and it aint to bad for a 6 banger. He said in about two more years he wants to trade it off for a new mach 1. I said go for it. Mach 1's are cool. He test drove a mach 1 before he got the V6 one, he said he didnt get one now because he don't quite have enough money for one right now, so he will wait until late 05, early 06. I hate to say this, but rob'(a friend of mines dad) has a '70 GS 350 4 spd manual, and it is faster than the mach 1!!!!!! I rode with my grandpa in the mach 1, but I rode in rob's GS and it has a faster 0-30 time and 0-60 time than the mach 1. I never told my grandpa that rob's GS 350 is faster so i dont burst his bubble:rolleyes: It's funny what an old small block car will do compared to a new"high performance sports car" can do. Buick small blocks are fast, and rob is the one who talked me in to loving small block buicks:3gears: That's why i want one:TU:

Enjoy... My wife has a 95 GT vert. Fun, good milage, and still gets the heads turned. Only weak point (besides not a A body Buick) is the verts need aftermarket chassis stiffeners. Assuming yours is a hardtop. Here are a few good pony sites... Enjoy that 4V V8... about all they need is better gears and shifter for a cheap copy of mods to make them really run...

I totaled my '03 Cobra SVT 10th anniversary convertible.
Guess I better stick with the Buicks, I don't crash in them.

    Tim,

I had a 96 blk/blk. Did Kenny Brown sub frames, 4:10's, Tremec trans, Pro 5.0 short-throw, rear tubular upper and lowers. Had alot of fun with the car. Ditched the govenor (played around w/ the computer) and had the car up to 162 mph w/ 4:10's. Just forget about fuel economy....
I agree with everyone on the '03's. Throw a couple of grand into it and you will see 500+ hp at the rear wheels. Not bad...
    Good luck!!
