You could tee off to a small hydraulic accumulator, but it wouldn't be as slick as re-working the gauge
I don't recognize the OP's gauge? If it's electrical, this could also be a side effect of the low RPM causing the charging system (alternator/regulator) to spike or drop. Properly adjusting your idle RPM is definitely the place to start either way.
