I have a 464 ci buick that has been in my car for approx. 4 years, while I completed my restoration on the car (67 GS). I have the hi volume oil pump on it and have never had a problem until now. This motor has never been raced or even driven only started occasionally and drove into a paint booth to be painted. The other day I started it and had the normal 65-70 psi oil pressure and I must have reved it a little to much to keep it running and my filter split and blew oil all over my floor. I checked out the pump to make sure the spring and little "piston" was not hanging up and it was fine. I have been told this happens often and that these motors must warm up for quite a while to avoid this problem, but why all the sudden? o No:
